Each day was from 9a-4p with an hour lunch break. Jenni brought some notebooks and coloring books to keep her busy. She did a lot of skip counting, math problems, drawings, and stories.

Bottom - The chicks hatched and the mom off searching for food :)
I thought Jenni was drawing our about-to-be family of six but when I looked closely it was just Eric with the four littles. The drawing said, "I love my daddy. He is the best daddy!" :)
The littles and I went to a 3-day Classical Conversations Practicum to prepare for the fall. I was able to register the boys for day camps, but Jenni's camp was full so she joined me for the three days and thoroughly enjoyed her time with the adults. We are beyond THRILLED to have found a CC community to join for the next school year. I think it'll be just what we need - especially after having a new baby.
The mission of Classical Conversations is to know God and to make Him known. It combines the classical education method of learning with a biblical worldview. Both Jenni and Joshua will be in Foundations classes. We will meet with our CC community once a week for twelve weeks in the fall and twelve weeks in the winter/spring months. Each week new memory work is introduced and there is a review of old memory work. The memory work is divided into 6 subjects: timeline/history, geography, math, science, Latin, and English grammar. They will also participate in a fine arts project/lesson, a science project, and an opportunity to practice oral presentation skills each week.
