Saxon Math 1
Working on number sentences and drawing different ways to show a number
Sweet J loves math! It has become her new favorite subject (over writing)!
Adding zero in her colorful workbook

Adding one more
Jenni completed Lessons 36-40. This week Jenni continued writing number sentences and reviewed addition facts - doubles to 20. She also practiced adding with zero and one. Jenni continues working on writing number sentences, drawing different ways to show a number, counting sides and angles, and reviewing weight. Each morning in the Math Meeting Book (not pictured) Jenni reads the date, writes the full date (month, date, and year), graphs the weather (sunny, cloudy, rainy, snowy), counts using the hundred number chart, and reviews right and left.
All About Reading, Level 1
Phrases and sentences fluency sheet
Jenni reviewed Lessons 22 and 23 again. This time the lessons really soaked in. She blended sounds with our letter tiles, completed the
activity sheets and games, practiced her reading words and read from
the fluency practice sheets. This week we focused on words with blended sounds (went, fast, lamp, gift, etc.) and Jenni continued reading stories
from our AAR Level 1, Volume 1 and 2
books.
Daily Science
Big Idea 2, Week 3: Can a whale live in a lake?
Jenni knew that a whale cannot live in a lake because a whale is too large, and more importantly, a whale lives in salt water and not fresh water. This week she learned that whales eat krill.
