DAY ONE
The road trip begins...
Texas. Louisiana. Mississippi. Alabama.
All four kids essentially stayed awake the entire trip until the last half hour.
Lots of chit chatting. Lots of snacks. Lots of fun.
DAY TWO
Mobile, Alabama
Breakfast at A Spot of Tea
Quaint little restaurant with yummy food
USS Alabama Battleship
Mobile, Alabama
Feeling patriotic! :)
Ringing the crazy loud bell
The perfect place for boys to be boys. :)
Sweet Juliette snuggled into her baby sling
We took a break in the gift shop for some cold air and slushes for the littles before we went to see the submarine, planes, and tanks.
We toured the battleship and it was so super awesome. Jenni was originally trying to talk us out of going since "battleships are for boys" but even sweet J enjoyed our time touring all the different levels of the ships. The boys were obsessed with the ship, the guns, climbing the narrow stairs, the decks, all of it. A fun field trip along the way to the beach!
After the battleship we chose to take the scenic route to the beach because we are that family. :) It was well worth the longer drive time, too.
Pensacola Beach, Florida
After checking in, we headed to the beach for the remainder of the day!
DAY THREE
My precious early riser
Breakfast on the beach
Sweet, sweet Juliette snoozing in the shade :)
Floating, snorkeling, sea shell collecting, sand castle building
Ready for our next adventure :)
So very thankful for these precious little people!
Enjoying the beautiful sunset!
DAY FOUR
Sunrise on our back balcony!
We enjoyed swimming and floating in the pool and lazy river
Resting and relaxing before the beach
Jackson James after his nap
Jackson James resting in the shade with Baby J
Eric, Jenni, and Joshua working on sand castles
These two people spent hours snorkeling. So adorable.
He checked often on his little friend
DAY FIVE
Sweet Juliette Grace and her little smiles! Jenni is the best at getting her to smile. I just love it. Joshua tries so hard to get her to smile and then eventually asks Jenni to come help him. It is precious.
Jackson James loved the boogie board and for whatever reason chose to wear his sunglasses inside but never out.
Lunch at Peg Leg Pete's
We tried dining there one evening but it had a two hour wait. It was highly recommended so we tried again for a late lunch another day.
The moment my little love told me that our family was "having such a happy day."
Stopped at a little ice cream shop :)
Best friends at sunset
DAY SIX
Everyone's favorite family vacation to date.
Thankful for a wonderful week with my loves!
