CC Week 5

Jackson likes to sit in the chairs (instead of the stroller) with us during the opening activities at CC. It's a good time for him to practice sitting still and quiet. :)
Jacks took a sweet picture of Jenni
Each week I switch between Jenni and Joshua's rooms
So each week Jenni or Joshua get to have Juliette next to them. Joshua loves holding her hand.

This week's presentation was telling the class about a trip you've been on. Joshua spoke of our beach vacation and his favorite thing to do was build sand castles.

I am so encouraged each week of Classical Conversations. I am thankful for our CC community!

OKC Zoo

Joshua and Jenni love maps. I like to walk whatever path we come to, but they very much like to plan our path.

We stopped for lunch but neither Joshua or Jenni were hungry. They each got a Coke icee which they were super excited about.

Jenni and Joshua both like this balancing rope when we're at playgrounds. Jackson noticed Joshua attempting to cross and ran as fast as he could to it and started shaking the rope. He makes life fun.

Eric needed to be in Oklahoma City for a meeting, so we joined him in the adventure and went to the zoo while he was busy. It was such a beautiful day to spend outside.
On our drive home Jenni asked me to take a picture. She loves sunset pictures, as do I.

Grandpa & Grandma's

Jacks opened up his birthday gifts
And climbed on top, too :)
Juliette relaxed in the same chair all the little grandbabies have relaxed in. Joshua was excited that this was going to be her first trip to Grandpa and Grandma's house. :)
We FaceTimed with our favorite three-year-old, Gavin. He's always fun to talk to.

 Jenni helped cook with Grandma
 And made some cards
 Joshua built trains with Grandpa

Jacks as content as could be, swinging by himself

A fun weekend getaway!

Co-op

I love our church co-op. It is so refreshing to be around other homeschooling mothers that are teaching and training their children, be able to ask questions from more experienced mothers, and watch our littles grow in their friendships. So much to be thankful for!

CC Week 4

It is so neat to see how much information young children can learn. We have dry erase maps that we are working on this year for United States geography. Above are the states and capitals Jenni knows. Below are the states and capitals Joshua knows.
We drill, drill, drill the states and capitals. We use dry erase markers, tracing paper, flashcards/matching games, and a US states and capitals song to learn geography.

For this weeks presentations Jenni discussed Creation and the Fall. Joshua discussed Noah and the Flood.
Jackson James did a neat craft project that he was incredibly proud of when we picked him up. Jenni was so happy for him and encouraged him by saying, "Wow, Jackson! I didn't know you could do that! That looks like something a three-year-old could do, not a two-year-old!" :) Jacks is always so worn out after a morning full of fun.
