Jenni is 4 years, 1 month
We took some time learning about the letter Tt. Here is some of what we did...
Bible Verse:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5)
Books:
The Little Train (by Lois Lenski)
Tacky Goes to Camp (by Helen Lester)
Terrible Storm (by Carol Otis Hurst)
That's How! (by Christoph Niemann)
Theodore and the Talking Mushroom (by Leo Lionni)
Tico and the Golden Wings (by Leo Lionni)
The Tiger Who Came to Tea (by Judith Kerr)
Traffic Pups (by Michelle Meadows)
Counting by Twos, Tens (Skip Counting)
Jenni and I worked on skip counting (2, 4, 6, 8, etc.) (10, 20, 30, etc.). There is a neat paint brush skip counting file folder game that serves as a good visual for this.
Telling Time
We focused on telling time to the hour, explaining the longer hand tells time to the minute and the shorter hand tells the hour. Jenni was pretty bored by this, so we will be moving on to telling time by the half hour :)
Towers of Two, Ten and Twenty
Tulip Handprint
I traced Jenni's forearm and she filled it in with green paint for the stem of the flower. Then, she dipped her hand in pink paint and made a hand print for the tulip.
Chicken Tetrazini and Toasted Bread
We made tetrazini for lunch this week and it didn't turn out quite as delicious as last time. I added a bit too much garlic. Sweet Jenni and Joshua seem to love garlic because they ate it up :)
T is for Thomas the Tank Engine: Thomas Gets Tricked
We go to the library weekly and I somehow always seem to forget they have movies for little ones. So keeping with Tt week, Jenni picked out a Thomas the Train movie :)
