Building a Vegetable Garden
We decided to transplant our potted fruits and vegetables into a raised vegetable bed that Eric built for us. The last six weeks of first grade science Jenni is learning about plants so I thought our garden would be a great addition to our homeschooling adventures. We planted blackberries, strawberries, watermelon, tomatoes, several different peppers, squash, zucchini, cucumber, cilantro, and onions.

Fall Yard Tour 2013
Our Backyard
Our backyard is a super fun work-in-progress area. Eric and I began the backyard flower beds in early spring and have enjoyed planting trees, shrubs, bushes, and flowers along the way. Lots more work to do but enjoyable along the way! Gardening will continue in the spring!

October Home Update
Landscaping
Jenni and I planted some fall flowers (mums) while Joshua and Jackson napped. The flowers were not yet blooming. After we planted the flowers we added stone around the flower bed. Next spring I think we will create a raised flower bed. Always good to have some girl time while the boys are napping! :)
After we finished the flower bed we were inspired to decorate our porch for fall (and then later our patio). The boys were awake for this one. Jackson was resting quietly in his carrier and Joshua who has no interest in flowers (other than digging them out of pots) brought some trucks out to the sidewalk to keep an eye on our progress. :)
