Explode the Code

Reading, writing and spelling skills
 J's first spelling test!
(The penny is used to space out words.)
We are about finished with Explode the Code, Book 1. The final pages include "spelling tests." I said the word aloud, and Jenni sounded the word out and wrote the letters.

Jenni likes to make sure that she is doing her "best handwriting" and enjoys writing notes to Eric for him to find in his lunchbox at work or to give him when he returns home. She also enjoys opening her little girl Bible and practicing her "best handwriting" by writing sentences onto paper to practice.

Science
"Naked Egg" Experiment
J filled the cups with vinegar.
Watching the bubbles appearing on top of the eggs...
After the vinegar dissolved the shell - took about 2-3 days.
The naked egg without its shell is quite bouncy. Jenni bounced it in the pan until it "popped" and then had fun from there. :)

Arts & Crafts
Fruit Loop Necklace
Joshua started putting the fruit loops on his pipe cleaner...
...but soon found out it was easier (and faster) to just eat the fruit loops from the bowl. :)
