Week 10 of Pre-K

Bible Verse of the Week: When Jesus saw their faith, He said, "Friend, your sins are forgiven." (Luke 5:20)
Singapore Math
J reviewed shapes.
Then she did a fun sponge painting activity.
Since J already knows her shapes, we moved along to solids including cubes, cones, rectangular blocks and spheres.

Jenni used our felt pumpkins to work on numbers.
Joshua used our felt leaves to work on his numbers. He likes to be learning alongside his big sis :)
Best friends learning together. Nothing better :)

Get Set for THE CODE

This week in THE CODE Jenni reviewed the letter Jj and the sound it makes.

Then we moved on to the letter Hh and the sound it makes and then reviewed previously learned letters and sounds.

Reading
We are continuing to use this book and this book for reading instruction.

Prayer for a Child (Before Five in a Row)
This week we rowed Prayer for a Child. We read the story each day, did the supplemental activities in the B4FIAR manual, and worked on the lapbook. We really enjoyed reading this book.

Bible Verse & Words that start with the letter A

We sang "Jesus loves the little children..." and then J wanted to sing "Jesus loves me..." too. Jenni went through a stack of pictures and glued on the ones she was thankful for. We ran out of room for all of them :) In the book, the little girl is thankful for her bread and milk and the pictures illustrate where bread and milk come from.

I traced Jenni's hand onto her lapbook and she decided on five things to pray for - our church, Grandpa & Grandma, Daddy, and Brother.

The rest of our school time consisted of our Alphabet Fun unit concentrating on the letter Cc.
